Information about website visits, chartering enquiries and business correspondence.
01. About this notice
This notice explains how Global Bulk Charters handles information associated with this website and chartering enquiries. For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].
02. Website visits
This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It has no visitor accounts, advertising cookies or site analytics tools.
Cloudflare may process technical information, including IP addresses, requested pages and device or browser information, to deliver the website and protect its services. Its handling of that information is described in Cloudflare's privacy policy.
03. Sending an enquiry
The contact form is designed to send your enquiry directly to our chartering desk at [email protected]. Selecting Send enquiry submits the details you have entered to a Cloudflare Worker, which validates the request and uses Cloudflare Email Service to send the message to our mailbox.
The submitted information includes your name, company, reply email address, optional phone number, enquiry type and message. Your email address is used so that we can respond to you. A submission confirmation does not mean that a broker has reviewed the enquiry or that any chartering terms have been agreed.
04. Business correspondence
If you contact us through the form or by email, we receive the contact details and message you provide. Your correspondence may include information about a cargo, vessel, route, dates or commercial requirements.
Please provide only information relevant to the enquiry. Do not include identity documents, banking information or other sensitive personal material in an initial website enquiry.
05. How information is used
We use business correspondence to respond to enquiries, discuss requirements, identify suitable cargo or vessel opportunities, communicate during negotiations and maintain relevant commercial records.
Information may also be needed to protect our systems, resolve disputes or meet obligations that apply to the business. Where applicable law requires a basis for processing, the relevant basis depends on the purpose, such as responding to a requested service, administering a business relationship or meeting a legal obligation.
06. Confidentiality and sharing
Chartering correspondence is treated as confidential business correspondence, not public website content. Information is shared only as needed for the relevant enquiry or business relationship, with attention to commercial discretion and the broker chain.
Recipients may include Cloudflare and our mailbox provider for processing and delivering enquiries, relevant counterparties or professional advisers where their involvement is necessary. Information may also be disclosed where required by law. We do not sell personal contact information for advertising.
07. Keeping information
We retain correspondence and commercial records for as long as reasonably needed for the enquiry, related business, recordkeeping requirements or the handling of a dispute. The appropriate period depends on the nature of the information and the purpose for keeping it.
Information should be deleted or anonymised when it is no longer needed, subject to obligations that require records to be preserved.
08. Service providers and security
Cloudflare provides website delivery, form processing and email delivery services. Our mailbox provider handles the resulting business correspondence. These providers may process information in locations outside your country.
Where a form security check is used, Automated checks and rate limits help protect the form against repeated or abusive submissions. Cloudflare also uses these signals to improve its bot detection. This security processing is separate from the enquiry message and is described in the Automated checks and rate limits help protect the form against repeated or abusive submissions.
Access to business correspondence should be limited to those who need it. No internet or email service can guarantee absolute security. If you believe information has reached us in error or requires particular handling, please contact us promptly.
09. Your questions and choices
Contact [email protected] to ask about information you have supplied or to request a correction. Depending on the law that applies, you may also have rights to request access, deletion or restriction, or to object to particular uses of your personal information.
We may need to verify your identity before responding. Some records may need to be retained for legitimate business or legal reasons. Where applicable, you may raise a concern with the relevant data protection authority.
10. External links and updates
Links to LinkedIn and other external websites take you to services with their own privacy notices. Following these links does not share the content of your enquiry form with those websites.
We may update this notice when the website or our handling of information changes. The date at the top identifies the latest revision.
